Click on the 'Tree to see an AVI of my burnout technique. After the still image of my car appears, simply move your mouse over the picture (no click needed) to start the mini-movie clip. It will run 3 times in a loop. Remember, this type of file will take a few minutes to load. Be patient, it's pretty cool!

Tips and comments on the Nitto Extreme drag radials:

At the strip, I run the Nittos at 18 PSI. (more or less depending on track conditions) I start my burnout on the edge of the waterbox. I do second gear burnouts while holding the front brakes lightly. I do not do dry hops. I have found I can launch at 3500 rpm if track is biting. Having had 2 sets of BFG drag radials, I can honestly say the Nittos are a superior tire only in that they will outlast the BFG's by quite a bit. There was a .004 difference in 60 foot time between the two, which is hardly worth noting. I also like the tread design of the Nittos. It is much better suited for rain conditions. While drag radials are a great way to pick up a few tenths, they are no subsitute for cheater DOT slicks or full slicks. You may read of cars that have gone 10's or 9's on drag radials. Sure, but read the timeslip: 1.9 60 foot and 155 mph. On slicks that same car would run 8's. However, the ride quality, not having to hassle with changing tires at the strip and the handling of the drag radials make them a very nice bolt-on. One you should do before anything else.
